What’s Happening at Subaru of Las Vegas
June 2023
JUNE 1 – 30
Subaru Loves To Care
Location: Children’s Medical Center at Summerlin Hospital
657 N Town Center Drive
Las Vegas, 89144
Benefitting: Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
Subaru and Findlay Subaru of Las Vegas believes we all should have a chance to lead a healthy life. As the largest corporate donor to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® (LLS), each June, during Subaru Loves to Care® month, we focus on supporting families and children who are coping with critical illnesses. Through our partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® (LLS) and Children’s Medical Center at Summerlin Hospital, Findlay Subaru of Las Vegas will give warm blankets and encouraging messages of hope written by Findlay Subaru of Las Vegas employees and customers at our store, to support patients facing cancer. Approximately every three minutes, a person in the U.S. is diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma, or myeloma. The recovery can be long, often leaving them feeling weak, cold, and isolated. Through the LLS Patient Aid Program, Findlay Subaru of Las Vegas will also provide 100 blood cancer patients financial relief to help offset non-medical costs associated with treatment, such as transportation, food, housing, utilities, etc. By hand-delivering blankets, messages of hope, and patient care kits to those fighting cancer in our communities, we can highlight our commitment to being More Than a Car Company® and More Than a Car Dealer. To help support blood cancer patients, visit http://LLS.org/subaru . For every dollar you donate during Subaru Loves to Care month from June 1-30, 2023, Subaru will match your online gift to http://LLS.org dollar-for-dollar up to $150,000.

Hot Girl Walk & Clean Up
Location: Wetlands Park
7050 Wetlands Park Ln
Las Vegas, NV 89122
Time: 9:00 am – 11:00 am
Hot Girl Walks is a walk for girls, gays, and they, and are trending on TikTok. Hot Girl Walks have been popping up in cities nationwide, and they are coming to Las Vegas! Research has directly linked mental, physical, and spiritual health to your connection with nature. By spending just 3 minutes breathing deeply, connecting to nature with your five senses, and blocking out noise pollution, your heart rate will shift, and your blood flow will increase. Observing your environment, appreciating the land cultivated and cared for by people before us for thousands of years, and grounding your body in natural elements have many health benefits. On a Hot Girl Walk, we will guide you in tapping into your inner strength, recognizing the power of your internal talk, and focusing on creating positive thoughts to help you engage in your physical and mental healthiness. Women, gays, and they are taking their power back. They are centering their strengths. They’re learning to validate themselves instead of seeking validation from others. Hot Girl Walks lift each other, support each other, and give each other strength. There is strength in numbers, especially in sisterhood. In support of LGTB Pride Month, Findlay Subaru of Las Vegas will be participating in the Hot Girl Walk, which will also be a combination of cleaning up Wetlands Park, one of the areas of Las Vegas with the most variety of wildlife. To sign up for volunteering, please see or email Tina Wicker ([email protected]).

For their siblings and children whose parents are diagnosed with cancer, it is an eye-opening experience to see they are not alone in their daily challenges. Camp Cartwheel is the longest-running and largest camp in Nevada. NVCCF works diligently to ensure each child’s experience is positive and memorable.
